For more than 15 years, I've been fascinated by one question:

Why do some people understand exactly why they feel the way they do... and still not change?

I entered this field believing therapy should create meaningful change. But over the years, I kept noticing a gap.

We had incredible tools for helping people manage what they were experiencing. DBT could teach coping skills. CBT could help people change the way they think, feel, and behave. Medication could reduce symptoms and, for many people, be an important part of treatment. These approaches have value.

But managing a wound isn't always the same thing as healing it. And I became increasingly interested in what happens when we go deeper.

I don't believe time heals all wounds.

  • Time passes.
  • We adapt.
  • We cope.
  • We get busy.
  • We build new lives.

And sometimes, years later, one interaction brings the whole thing right back.

  • The relationship ended ten years ago, but rejection still feels unbearable.
  • You understand that your childhood shaped your people-pleasing, but you still can't say no without guilt.
  • You know you're successful, but some part of you still feels like you're not enough.
  • You know you're safe now, but your body reacts like you're not.

That's not a lack of insight. Something deeper hasn't changed yet.

And that's where my work began to evolve.

A crack in stone repaired with gold

What I learned changed the way I practice.

As my work expanded into trauma therapy, EMDR, neuroscience, visualization, nervous-system work, and the relationship between our past experiences and present-day reactions, I began seeing what was possible when we stopped working only with the problem someone could consciously explain.

  • We can change learned emotional associations.
  • We can create new neural pathways.
  • We can change deeply held beliefs about ourselves.
  • We can experience something that once had enormous power over us... and have it simply not affect us the same way anymore.

And here's the part that still amazes people:

Change can happen much faster than we've been taught to expect.

I see meaningful shifts happen regularly, often within a single session

Something may have affected someone for years. We work on it. They come back. I ask about it. And I hear:

"I haven't even thought about it."
Or: "How is that even possible?" "What did you do?"

They're almost confused by it. Because when you've carried something for years, you assume changing it should take years too. It doesn't always work that way.

A wound can be old without requiring years to change your relationship to it.

And when someone realizes that something that once had so much power over them simply doesn't anymore? That's the moment I love. Because we didn't teach them how to cope with it better.

We changed what made it hurt in the first place.

What if transformation isn't as hard as we've been taught to believe?

That doesn't mean there isn't a journey. There is. There are layers.

One thing changes, and suddenly you can see the next thing differently. You start responding differently. Making different choices. Setting different boundaries. Wanting different things.

And gradually, something bigger starts happening. Your life begins to change because you're changing.

Becoming a different version of yourself doesn't happen because you force yourself to act like that person every day. It happens as the things that kept you from being that person begin to fall away.

That's what makes this work so exciting to me. I get to watch people discover, sometimes much faster than they thought possible, that:

They aren't as stuck as they believed they were.

I believe

We're capable of far more transformation than we've been taught to expect. This is the work I'm most passionate about.

  • Not endlessly analyzing who you've been.
  • Not spending the rest of your life managing every old wound.
  • Not collecting more coping skills for something that may actually be able to change.

But using what we now understand about the brain, the body, memory, belief, and human behavior to create something new.

  • New ways of thinking
  • New ways of feeling
  • New ways of responding
  • New beliefs about yourself
  • New choices
  • New relationships
  • A new experience of your own life

We can create new versions of ourselves. Not by pretending to be someone we're not. But by changing the things that have been keeping us from becoming who we actually want to be.

Why I created UNBOTHERED

People are seeking a level of transformation that traditional models don't always know how to provide yet.

That doesn't mean throwing away everything we've learned. It means building on it.

My work integrates my clinical training and more than 15 years of experience with EMDR, neuroscience-informed principles, visualization, nervous-system awareness, intuition, spirituality, and personal transformation.

But the modalities aren't the point. The change is.

My strength is connecting the dots.

You bring me what's happening now. I listen for what sits underneath it.

  • The belief.
  • The meaning.
  • The earlier experience.
  • The pattern that keeps appearing in different places in your life.

And then we work there. That's why we can often get to meaningful change faster. We're not spending months working around the problem. We're getting to what is actually driving it.

An olive branch casting leaf shadows on a warm plaster wall

This work is a journey. And I genuinely love guiding people through it.

Some changes happen remarkably quickly. Others unfold layer by layer. One shift opens the door to another.

And over time, you begin noticing that you're not just feeling better. You're living differently.

  • You're trusting yourself.
  • Setting boundaries.
  • Choosing differently.
  • Showing up differently in relationships.
  • Wanting more for yourself.
  • Creating things you once didn't believe were possible for you.

And maybe most importantly: You feel good being you.

Life isn't perfect. It doesn't need to be. Because your ability to feel good in your life is no longer completely dependent on everything around you going exactly the way you want it to.

To me, that's freedom.

That's UNBOTHERED.

The person you want to become isn't as far away as you think.

  • You don't need to have yourself figured out before we begin.
  • You don't need to know what's underneath the problem.
  • You don't need the perfect words.
  • And you don't need to spend years preparing yourself to change.

Bring me what's bothering you now. We'll start there.
